OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and burn hazards:   On or about August 31, 2021, employees were exposed to struck-by and burn injuries from a Winston Industries CollectraMatic 8000 series pressure fryer (pressure fryer #3), model number P52478, serial number 20160112-0006 that was opened while under pressure. The employer failed to prevent employees from opening the lid of the pressure fryer before the completion of its cook cycle.   On August 31, 2021, employees forced the lid of the pressure fryer open while the fryer was under pressure causing the fryer to release hot oil onto an employee resulting in second and third degree burns.
