OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: struck by hazards caused by cement saw kick back. (a) At the construction site on Edgewater Drive in Midway, GA - On September 13, 2021, employees are using concrete saws to cut pipes, thereby exposing employees to struck-by and kick-back hazards. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement would be to support the pipe to stabilize and prevent binding of the concrete saw circular blade.
