29 CFR 1910.27(a): The employer did not ensure that scaffolds used in general industry meet the requirements in 29 CFR part 1926, subpart L (Scaffolds): 29 CFR 1926.452(w)(2): Scaffold casters and wheels were not locked with positive wheel and/or wheel and swivel locks, or equivalent means, to prevent movement of the scaffold while the scaffold was used in a stationary manner: (a) On or about October 5, 2021 employees were utilizing mobile scaffolding with caster wheels that could not lock and no equivalent means to prevent movement to access the roof of a building being manufactured exposing them to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet or more to the concrete floor below.
