29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Jobsite, 434 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA: On or about October 4, 2021, two employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 120 feet above the ground while walking to and from their work area and the only fall protection present was a parapet that was 19.5 inches high. b) Jobsite, 434 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA: On or about October 4, 2021, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 120 feet above the ground while walking to and from the work area and the only fall protection present was a parapet that was 19.5 inches high.
