The angular exposure of the grinding wheel periphery and sides for safety guards used on machines known as bench and floor stands exceeded 90 deg. or one-fourth of the periphery: a. Manufacturing area - a pedestal grinder was not provided with safety guards, which left 360 degrees of exposed wheel on both of the two grinding wheels. b. Rear of facility - a pedestal grinder was not provided with adequate safety guards, which left approximately 180 degrees of exposed wheel on both of the two grinding wheels.
