29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a)Global Harvest Foods, LTD. at 113 Wyman Avenue, Harrold, SD 57356: On or about and at times prior to October 26, 2021, the employer did not ensure that the LP2100-SRT Shrink Wrapper machine was effectively guarded in that, not all perimeter guarding was in place to prevent inadvertent contact with the rotating wrapper. This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards associated with the wrapping arm.
