29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition: a) Band saw area: The top of a wall mounted electrical switch box were not kept free from accumulations of combustible wood dust, on or about, October 29, 2021. b) Exhaust blower area: The tops of two wall mounted electrical switch boxes were not kept free from accumulations of combustible wood dust which created a fire and explosion hazard, on or about, October 29, 2021. d) Band saw exhaust blower area: The motor housing and cooling fins of the band saw exhaust blower motor were not kept free of accumulations of combustible wood dust which created a fire and explosion hazard, on or about October 29, 2021. 29 CFR 1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: b) Exhaust blower: The Cutler-Hammer switch box had openings on the front cover which allowed wood dust to enter the interior and was not approved for a high dust location, on or about October 29, 2021. d) Exhaust motor for the band saw: The electrical motor had heavy accumulations of wood dust on its casing and cooling fins which interfered with the cooling of the motor, on or about October 29, 2021. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
