29 CFR  1910.132(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers, was not provided, used, and maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition wherever it was necessary by reason of hazards of processes or environment, chemical hazards, radiological hazards, or mechanical irritants encountered in a manner capable of causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through absorption, inhalation or physical contact.  On or about November 2, 2021 and at times prior thereto, an employee performing powder coating operations with corrosive materials, such as but not limited to IFS Coatings FED STD 37038 Black, was not required to wear protective clothing, exposing the employee to various chemical hazards.

29 CFR  1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes.  On or about November 2, 2021, and at times prior thereto, an employee performing powder coating operations with corrosive materials, such as but not limited to IFS Coatings FED STD 37038 Black, was not required to wear hand protection, exposing the employee to various chemical hazards.

On or about November 2, 2021, and at times prior thereto, an employee performing powder coating operations was required to wear a half-face respirator while coating without having a medical evaluation, exposing the employee to various respiratory hazards.
