29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from other scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used: a) At 271 Avenue of Learning, Lot 19 The Orchards, Pike Road, Alabama: On or about November 2, 2021 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to perform siding activities from a ladder jack scaffold without ensuring the scaffold had a ladder for employees to use to get on and off the scaffold exposing his employee to a fall hazard of 19 feet 5 inches to the ground below.
