1910.147(d)(3):  Machine or equipment isolation. All energy isolating devices that are needed to control the energy to the machine or equipment shall be physically located and operated in such a manner as to isolate the machine or equipment from the energy source(s).  a)	Ford Motor Company on or about November 03, 2021, at the address of 1155 Bible Rd. Lima, OH: The employer did not ensure that energy isolating procedures for the 68-70 Gantry were implemented prior to employee performance of service activities on the interconnected 70.1 Grob CNC Machine. A maintenance employee performing these tasks on the CNC machine while in the path of travel of the energized Gantry was exposed to struck-by hazards. The employer's established energy control procedure [required under 29 CFR 1910.147(d)] was not adequately utilized before the employee began the aforementioned work task while positioned in the interconnected gantry's path of travel.
