Training should cover the written hazard communication program, health hazards associated with the chemicals, methods to detect the release of hazardous chemicals, measures employees can take to protect themselves from exposure to the chemicals, emergency procedures to follow during workplace incidents involving the hazardous chemicals and safety data sheets outlining the information included on a safety data sheet and where employees can access the safety data sheets in the workplace.
