29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.  a) 5112 Upper Mountain Road, NY - On or about 11/12/21, five employees engaged in roofing work, on the low-sloped roof, were exposed to falls of approximately 14'-20' while working at the edge of the roof.  There was no fall protection in place.  NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): A training program was not provided to each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards, to enable that employee to recognize the hazards of falling, and be trained in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards:  a) 5112 Upper Mountain Road, Lockport, NY - On or about 11/12/21, employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 14'-20' while working at the edge of a low-sloped roof without the use of any fall protection.  The employer did not have a training program and did not provide each employee with training so that they were able to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to follow to minimize the hazard.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
