29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(iv): Employees shall always stand firmly on the floor of the basket, and shall not sit or climb on the edge of the basket or use planks, ladders, or other devices for a work position. On or about November 23, 2021, at the worksite located at N3171 State Hwy 55 in Freedom, Wisconsin; employee(s) were exposed to fall hazards while using a JLG aerial lift without maintaining a firm footing on the basket floor. The employee(s) climbed up the mid and top rail to gain access to the wooden trusses.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(15) Walking/working surfaces not otherwise addressed." Except as provided in 1926.500(a)(2) or in 1926.501 (b)(1) through (b)(14), each employee on a walking/working surface 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. On or about November 23, 2021, at the worksite located at N3171 State Hwy 55 in Freedom, Wisconsin; employees setting wooden trusses on a commercial building were not utilizing fall protection exposing them to fall hazards greater than 17 feet 6 inches.
