Badger, located in the Large Graving Dock at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, 605 North 3rd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, WI, on the flat surface around the smokestack on December 2, 2021; employees were exposed to fall hazards when Steel Fitter employees walked and worked within 12 feet of the unguarded edge. Steel Fitter employees were exposed to falls of approximately seven feet three inches to the next level down while accessing and conducting grinding and welding activities on the vessel's smokestack.
