29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3):The employer did not assure that portable fire extinguishers are subjected to an annual maintenance check. A) In the facility's break room an installed portable fire extinguisher was not subjected to a maintenance check within the last 12 months. The break room had several appliances with heat sources. Annual maintenance checks help ensure the fire extinguisher works properly.
