29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  Worksite located at 1200 S. Hwy. 7, Blue Springs, Missouri- Employee was working on the edge of the rooftop and was not protected from falling by the use of any means of fall protection.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  Worksite located at 1200 S. Hwy. 7, Blue Springs, Missouri- Employee was exposed to a fall hazard in that the employer did not extend the ladder 3 feet above the upper landing surface. The ladder did not reach the top of the building .
