29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1):The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: (a) Susquehanna Glass Company, Inc. - The employer did not provide appropriate protective eyewear for the employees using the Nanjing CR-150 "Galvo" engraving laser; in that the goggles provided were for dust protection only and not designed for the defuse light in the specific wavelength produced by the laser, on or about February 17, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Susquehanna Glass Company, Inc. - The employer did not provide effective hazard communication training for the Laser Engraving employees working with CreMark Metal Laser Marking Spray product LMM-6000 Black which contained ethanol, methanol, methyl isobutyl ketone, vanadium, molybdenum, and silicate, on or about February 23, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
