29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(7)(iv):The employer shall also provide, at no cost to employees who perform housekeeping operations in an area which contains ACM or PACM, an asbestos awareness training course, which shall at a minimum contain the following elements: health effects of asbestos, locations of ACM and PACM in the building/facility, recognition of ACM and PACM damage and deterioration, requirements in this standard relating to housekeeping, and proper response to fiber release episodes, to all employees who perform housekeeping work in areas where ACM and/or PACM is present. Each such employee shall be so trained at least once a year. a) On or about December 7, 2021, at an establishment located 300 Packerland Drive, Green Bay, Wisconsin, the employer had employees maintaining the Advance Facer Canceler System (AFCS) units that had not received asbestos awareness training. The employees clean the asbestos containing floor tile near and under the AFCS units.

29 CFR 1910.1001(k)(1):All surfaces shall be maintained as free as practicable of ACM waste and debris and accompanying dust. On or about December 7, 2021, at an establishment located 300 Packerland Drive, Green Bay, Wisconsin, the employer had not maintained the floor under the AFCS units in a manner that was free of ACM debris. There was a sand-like material that was seeping up through floor tile gaps near and under the AFCS units contained up to 1.5% Chrysotile asbestos. Employees removing the sand-like material were not using cleaning and disposal methods appropriate for asbestos containing materials.
