29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to upper landing surfaces, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladders were used to gain access. a- On or about 12/09/2021 at 561 Paramus Road, Paramus NJ 07652 (Framed Edge): CSHO observed an employee engaged in framing activities using a portable aluminum extension ladder exposed to fall hazards of 12 ft to the ground below as the ladder side rails were not extended 3ft above the upper landing surface.
