29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: This violation occurred on or about December 10, 2021, at the job site located at 2320 Miranda Lane, Rockwall, TX; where employees were using extension ladders that did not extend 3-feet above the landing of the roof. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard: (a) Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10-feet while using a Werner extension ladder of 16-feet that was positioned on the West side of the house. (b ) Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10-feet while using a Werner extension ladder of 16-feet that was positioned on the south side of the house. ( c) Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10-feet while using an extension ladder of 16-feet that was position on the front side of the house. (d ) Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10-feet while using a 24-feet extension ladder position at the East side (front side) of the house. No model numbers recognized. ( e ) Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10-feet while using a 24-feet extension ladder position at the East side (front side) of the house. No model numbers recognized.
