29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. On the roof of residential condos located at Building #30, of 1208 Garden Isle Ct, 1209 Garden Isle Ct. and 11427 Bay Isle Dr. Orlando FL, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 9 feet height and higher while engaged in roofing activities on a steep roof (5:12), in that the employees were not using any means of fall protection, on or about 12/09/2021. The controlling employer failed to ensure workers were protected from fall hazards. b. On the roof of residential condos located at Building #34 of 1208 Garden Isle Ct, 1209 Garden Isle Ct. and 11427 Bay Isle Dr. Orlando FL, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 9 feet height and higher while engaged in roofing activities on a steep roof (5:12), in that the employees were not using any means of fall protection, on or about 12/09/2021. The controlling employer failed to ensure workers were protected from fall hazards. c. On the roof of residential condos located at 1208 Garden Isle Ct, 1209 Garden Isle Ct. and 11427 Bay Isle Dr. Orlando FL, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of when accessing a 9 foot roof with portable ladder side rails not properly extended, on or about 12/09/2021. The controlling employer failed to ensure workers were protected from fall hazards by not enforcing the appropriate ladder placement.
