29 CFR 1910.177(c)(3): The employer did not evaluate each employee's ability to service rim wheels safely: a) H&L Trucking Inc. at the location of 7232 CR 175, Bellevue, Ohio: On or about December 9, 2022, the employer did not ensure that each employee tasked with tire servicing duties in the Mechanic Shop were effectively able to service rim wheels in a safe manner. The employer did not evaluate employees to ensure they were safely able to perform tire servicing tasks, such as, but not limited to: demounting of tires, inspection and identification of rim wheel components, mounting of tires (inflation), use of restraining device or staying outside of the trajectory; exposing these employees to hazards that include, but are not limited to, struck by hazards of an exploding tire, wheel component or air blast.
