29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: On or about December 22, 2021, at this establishment, employees engaged in lifeguarding and operating and maintaining pools were exposed to hazardous, corrosive, and injurious chemicals, including, but not limited to, muriatic acid, sodium bisulfite, and sodium bicarbonate, and were not provided with adequate eyewash stations in the following areas: a. acid room 129, and b. room with large white Commercial Chlor (Hypochlorite solution) plastic tanks.

The employer had not implemented a program which would address chemical inventory of hazardous chemicals on site, safety data sheets, and employee information and training on the hazards associated with chemicals utilized at this site.
