29 CFR 1926.150(c)(1)(vi): A fire extinguisher, rated not less than 10B, was not provided within 50 feet of wherever more than 5 gallons of flammable or combustible liquids or 5 pounds of flammable gas were being used on the jobsite: On or about 16 Dec 2021, at next to diesel tank and at inside of storage trailer next to two oxygen and acetylene cylinders, on top of marine barge, Pier 3, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Employees were exposed to fire hazards while performing emergency repairs on a pier within the premises of a hoisting crane, diesel tank, oxygen and acetylene cylinders and combustible materials next to it with no fire extinguishers available or provided in case of a sudden fire. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
