29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1):The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a. Yazoo Mills - On or about February 14, 2021, the employer failed to conduct a workplace hazard assessment prior to assigning employees to conduct work at the contracted site. Employees were exposed to machine guarding hazards and cut hazards. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
