29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not continuously maintained free of obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency: a) Julius Silvert, Inc. located at 231 East Luzerne Street, Philadelphia PA, Warehouse: On or about June 3, 2022, the employer did not ensure that the exit route was maintained free of obstructions. Materials such as insulated bulkheads were placed and stored within the emergency exit route, exposing employees to fire hazards in case of an emergency. b) Julius Silvert, Inc. located at 231 East Luzerne Street, Philadelphia PA, Freezer: On or about June 3, 2022, the employer did not ensure that the exit route was maintained free of obstructions. A pallet jack filled with product in cardboard boxes was placed and stored within the emergency exit route, exposing employees to fire hazards in case of an emergency.
