29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): Employers did not have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use: (a) On or about January 11, 2022, and at times prior, the employer did not have readily available a safety data sheet for Mineral Spirits, which is a solvent used to clean and degrease automotive parts. Mineral Spirits contains petroleum distillates, it is also a flammable liquid and vapor, it is toxic if inhaled, and may cause respiratory irritation and drowsiness.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) On or about January 11, 2022, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that employees were provided training on hazardous chemicals in their work area. Untrained employees were exposed to health hazards while using a chemical solvent known as "Mineral Spirits". This product contains petroleum distillates, it is a flammable liquid and vapor, it is toxic if inhaled, and may cause respiratory irritation and drowsiness.
