29 CFR 1910.178(n)(4): Industrial truck river(s) were not required to slow down and sound the horn at cross aisles and wherever vision was obstructed: a) Warehouse, exit door and adjacent computer station area; on or about January 11, 2022 and at times prior to, employees walking the aisle between the exit door and the warehouse were exposed to struck-by hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that forklift drivers slowed down and sounded the horn to protect workers from forklift traffic. Or in the alternative: 29 CFR 1910.178(n)(8):Under all travel conditions the truck was not operated at a speed that would permit it to be brought to a stop in a safe manner. a) Warehouse, exit door and adjacent computer station area; on or about January 11, 2022 and at times prior to, employees walking the aisle between the exit door and the warehouse were exposed to struck-by hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that forklifts were operated at speeds that would allow to stop the vehicles in a safe manner.
