29 CFR 1926.304(d): When the tool was withdrawn from the work, the lower guard did not automatically and instantly return to the covering position. On the north side of the construction site, employees operating skill saws with lower guard wedged in the up position while cutting framing material exposing him to cuts and scrape hazards. a) The Side Winder skill saw was wedged in the up position while cutting framing material to install on the building. b) The DeWalt skill saw was wedged in the up position while cutting framing material to install on the building.
