29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees were not provided with eye and face protection when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents:    a) On or about January 19, 2022, employees were exposed to eye injury while operating pneumatic nail guns without the benefit of eye protection.  b) On or about January 19, 2022, employees were exposed to eye injury while operating hand held electric saws without the benefit of eye protection.  Dora Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102 (a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1519804, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on April 12, 2021, with respect to a worksite located at 1145 N. Chestnut, Arlington Heights, Illinois.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
