29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a- 16 Autumn Park Boulevard, Building 8, Medford NJ: A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 21 feet 7 inches to the ground surface below, when walking and working at and near the unprotected edges of a commercial structure's third floor balcony without the use of fall protection. Condition observed on or about 01/19/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii): a- 16 Autumn Park Boulevard, Building 8, Medford NJ: A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 21 feet 7 inches to the ground surface below, when walking and working at and near the unprotected edges of a commercial structure's third floor balcony without the use of fall protection. This worker had not received fall protection training as specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii). Condition noted on or about 01/19/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
