29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not free and unobstructed. Materials or equipment were placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access went through a room that could be locked, to reach an exit or exit discharge: On or about January 19, 2022, and at time prior thereto, in the open pits working area, the exit routs were not free and unobstructed, with equipment, such as portable roll ladder. These conditions exposed employees to a slip, trip, struck-by, fire, burns and explosion hazards in the event of an emergency.
