Claire Germicidal Cleaner, a Category 1 flammable aerosol with a flashpoint of -156 degrees, F was used to clean seat backs on the floor in front of the screen.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(ii): Employee training did not include the physical and health hazards of the chemicals in the work area: Theater: On, or about, January 24, 2022, employees were not trained regarding the safe use of the handling of Claire Germicidal Cleaner, a Category 1 flammable aerosol with a flashpoint of -156 degrees, F. Employees were not informed of the potential health effects of the cleaner/solvent and would experience headaches and lightheadedness. In addition, the flammable properties of the cleaner/solvent were not understood by employees, so the solvent was used in the presence of regular duty electrical equipment such as a floor fan, extension cords, a masking motor and live electrical outlets. Rags soaked with the cleaner/solvent were disposed of in open, plastic waste receptacles creating a potential fire hazard.
