29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(i): There were no visible gauges, audible alarms or pressure activated devices installed in paint spray booths to indicate or ensure that the required air speed was maintained. a) APX Industrial Coatings, Inc. 9473 Lincoln Way West, Saint Thomas, PA, Worksite - Powder Coat Paint Booth. On or about 26 January 2022, an employee was conducting powder coat spraying in a paint booth without functional manometers used to ensure adequate air velocity requirements. The manometer on the active booth was not configured and unable to provide indication of air velocity, thereby exposing employees to chemical inhalation hazards. b) APX Industrial Coatings, Inc. 9473 Lincoln Way West, Saint Thomas, PA, Worksite - Powder Coat Paint Booth - On or about 26 January 2022, the employer failed to ensure a paint booth was in operation with a functional manometers used to ensure adequate air velocity requirements, thereby exposing employees to chemical inhalation hazards. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
