29 CFR  1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  (a) FEDEX GROUND PACKAGE SYSTEM, INC., at  1105 W. 48th Avenue, Denver, CO 80221: On and before January 28, 2022, employees were not provided suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body while handling packages in the QA area of the facility. Employees are required to handle damaged packages that may have corrosive liquids such as Permaglo LS 24. This condition exposed employees to the risk of permanent damage to the eye.  Abatement Note:  A feasible means of abatement includes but is not limited to: 1) a portable eye wash device, appropriate for the expected hazardous exposure, and containing not less than one gallon of potable water; or 2) a plumbed emergency eyewash unit capable of delivering not less than 1.5 liters (0.4 gallons) of clean water per minute, with flow valves that are simple to operate, go "on" in one second or less, and remain "on" during the eyewash procedure.  For details on emergency eyewash and shower equipment, OSHA references the American National Standard for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment, ANSI Z358.1.

(b) FEDEX GROUND PACKAGE SYSTEM, INC., at  1105 W. 48th Avenue, Denver, CO 80221: On and before January 28, 2022, the employer did not ensure that all electrical outboxes in the electric vehicle charging area had an approved cover installed. This condition exposed employees to the hazard of electrical shock.
