29 CFR 1910.178(f)(2): The storage and handling of liquefied petroleum gas fuel was not in accordance with NFPA Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases (NFPA No. 58-1969), which is incorporated by reference as specified in 29 CFR 1910.6: a. On or before January 26, 2022, employees refilling liquified petroleum gas cylinders and placing them in a storage unit in the Korkan Granite Co. Inc. storage yard were exposed to an explosion hazard, in that the employer did not ensure the storage location was properly ventilated in accordance with NFPA No. 58-1969. b. On or before January 26, 2022, Amerigas Propane, L.P. provided Korkan Granite Co. Inc. the liquefied petroleum gas, refilled the cylinders, and placed them in the storage unit at Korkan Granite Co. Inc. thereby exposing Korkan Granite Co. Inc. employees to an explosion hazard, in that Amerigas Propane L.P. did not ensure the storage location was properly ventilated accordance with NFPA No. 58-1969.
