29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a.) NLMK Sharon Coating LLC; wrapping station - On or about 1/28/22, employees were working near the wrapping machine without proper guarding to protect against hands and other body parts from coming into contact with the rotating roller and associated moving parts.  An employee suffered a hand injury when their hand was caught in the rotating rollers moving parts. In addition, the controls used to actuate the rotating rollers were located too close to one another.  b.) NLMK Sharon Coating, LLC ; wrapping station - On or about 1/28/22, and at times prior thereto, employees were working near the wrapping machine without guarding to protect against the cart moving while employees were working in the area.   ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
