29 CFR  1910.213(c)(1):Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut:  (a) Cabinet shop area: Delta Table Saw: On or about February 9, 2022  and at times prior thereto the employer exposed his employees to amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to operate Delta table saw without a guard in place that had an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed the portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut as required by the standard.  (b) Cabinet shop area: Powermatic Table Saw: On or about February 9, 2022  and at times prior thereto the employer exposed his employees to amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to operate Powermatic table saw without a guard in place that had an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed the portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut as required by the standard.

29 CFR  1910.1200(e)(1):The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:  a) Cabinet making area: On or about, February 9, 2022, and at times prior, thereto the employer exposed employees to chemical hazards without providing employees with a written hazard communications program. The employer required employees to use lacquer thinner and different types of stains to stain cabinets. Lacquer thinner is a highly flammable chemical that causes respiratory tract irritation if overexposed.

Employees used products containing hazardous chemicals including but not limited to, denatured alcohol, lacquer thinner, Methyl Amyl Ketone and different types of wood stains.
