29 CFR  1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition.  a) On or about February 9, 2022, the employer did not ensure that a Crown forklift (SN: 1A564332) that had a damaged steering column, damaged parking brake, and was leaking fluids had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating conditions.
