29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employees were exposed to an airborne concentration of Carbon Monoxide listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8-hour Time-Weighted Average concentration of 50 parts per million (50 ppm) particles of air for any 8-hour work shift of a 40-hour work week and attenuated accordingly for extended work shifts in extended work weeks: Location: Basement kitchen a) On or about November 13, 2021 an employee was using a six-burner, Garland M44R stove intended to be vented by a an exhaust hood. The exhaust hood was not turned on resulting in the employee being exposed to 220.2 ppm of Carbon Monoxide, which is 4.404 times over the OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 ppm during an 8-hour shift.

The employer did not ensure the ventilation system for the stove was operational. As a result, the employee was exposed to 220.2 ppm of Carbon Monoxide, and is above the OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 ppm during an 8-hour shift.
