29 CFR  1910.215(a)(4):Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch:  (a)  East Building, Maintenance work area adjacent to boiler room;  A grinder (brand name and model number were covered with employee labels) had the left side grinding stone located ? inch from the tool rest.  NOAA NW Fisheries was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1521897, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/12/2022, with respect to a workplace located at Port Orchard, WA.

29 CFR  1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical:  (a)	East Building Laboratory- Room 456 E, Physiology Lab;  A secondary bottle of 75% ethanol did not have hazard label warnings.   (b)	East Building Laboratory- Room 433E, Marine Microbes and Toxins Lab;  A secondary bottle of 100% isopropanol did not have hazard label warnings.   (c)	East Building Laboratory- Room 354E, Ecotoxicology Lab;  A secondary bottle of 70% ethanol did not have hazard label warnings.   (d)	East Building Laboratory- Room 210E, Watershed Lab;  A secondary bottle of 70% ethanol did not have hazard label warnings.   NOAA NW Fisheries was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1546470, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/18/2021, with respect to a workplace located at Seattle, WA.  NOAA NW Fisheries was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1521897, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/12/2022, with respect to a workplace located at Port Orchard, WA.
