Maple., Elmhurst, IL. 60126, employees were exposed to eye injuries while engaged in residential siding activities operating a pneumatic nail gun. Eye protection was not being utilized while employees engaged in this activity. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: On or about March 1, 2022, at jobsite located 430 N. Maple., Elmhurst, IL. 60126, employees performing siding activities at a residential property were exposed to fall hazards in approximately 12 feet with no fall protection when the employer failed to ensure they were adequately trained to recognize and minimize the hazards associated with fall. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
