29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) 5300 Coca Cola Road Mobile, AL (Warehouse Expansion - Deck Areas): On or about February 25, 2022, and at times prior, the employer required employees to perform construction activities without fall protection at the edge of a walking /working surface with an unprotected side or edge; exposing employees to fall hazards up to approximately eighteen (18) feet to the concrete floor below.
