29 C.F.R. 1910.242(a): The employer did not provide for the safe condition of tools and equipment used by employees. (a) Facility wide; on or about March 2, 2022, and at a time prior thereto the employer exposed the employees to the hazard of being struck-by fragments of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) plastic pipe in the event the PVC plastic pipe ruptured, in that PVC piping was used to transport compressed air at 90 psi for air tools, exposing employees to struck-by hazards from shards of PVC.
