29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. [63 FR 33450, June 18, 1998] a) On or about March 11, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees working in the yard and inspecting hydrochloric acid cars were provided with eye washes or emergency showers for immediate use in that at the farthest end of the yard employees would have to travel approximately half a mile to reach an eyewash and shower in the yard master's office as well as need to pass through doors.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1):Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met, and which also includes the following: a) On or about March 11, 2022, employer did not develop and implement a written hazard communication program for employees who work around chemicals such as but not limited to hydrochloric acid (chemical burns, respiratory irritation).
