29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about March 9, 2022 and times prior at 1501 South OWA Blvd, Foley, Al: The employer failed to ensure adequate guarding was provided/maintained on the Reed Model B-40 concrete pump during cleaning of the hopper which exposed an employee to the hazards associated with getting caught between moving part hazards.
