29 CFR 1926.100(a):Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets. On or about March 17, 2022, an employee working on the ground level beneath an employee on a pump jack scaffold was exposed to struck by hazards when the employer did not ensure the use of hard hats. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1):Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. On or about March 17, 2022, an employee conducting siding installation operations from a pump jack scaffold was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 13.2' when the employer failed to ensure fall protection was utilized. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
