29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a.) 41-47 Main Street., Newton, NJ The employer did not ensure employees and sub-contractor employees were protected from falls. Sub-contractor employees engaged in construction activities on a commercial building worked at or near the outside edge of the roof while installing HVAC systems and were not attached with a fall harness and lanyard or had any other means of fall protection. Violation observed on or about March 21, 2022.
