29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  a.  On or about March 21, 2022, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing residential roofing operations, eight (8) feet eleven (11) inches above ground, was not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards.  b.  On or about March 21, 2022, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations, ten (10) feet four (4) inches above ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards.

On or about March 21, 2022, at the above addressed jobsite, employees using pneumatic nail guns were not wearing eye protection, thereby exposing the employees to hazards associated with eye injuries.  Artex Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1500963, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on February 19, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1128 Patriot Dr. in New Lenox, Illinois.
