29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a.) Penn-Ohio Iron Works, LLC; 2360 State Route 157, Oil City, PA - On or a bout 3/22/22, and at times prior there to employees were installing gutters and parapet wall trim. The employees were working 15 ft. above the ground below without any fall protection on two sides of the building. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1926.95(a): Protective equipment including protective shields and barriers, were not provided and used by reason of hazards in a manner capable of causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through physical contact. a.) Penn-Ohio Iron Works, LLC; 2360 State Route 157, Oil City, PA - On or a bout 3/22/22, and at times prior thereto, form pins on the job site for the sidewalk presented a potential hazard to employees and were not guarded shields and barriers such as caps, wood blocks, or similar devices. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
